Welcome to IOSH Essex Branch.
Welcome to the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health’s
Essex Branch. The Branch exists to promote the Institution’s aims
& objectives and to help our Branch’s members to develop &
maintain their professional competence. To achieve these objectives
the Branch Executive organises a number of events each year.
Branch meetings take place every other month. This
provides an opportunity to network over a buffet and is followed by
a presentation on a health & safety management topic. These
events are free to attend for both IOSH members and anyone with an
interest in the subject. The Executive also organises workshops,
site visits, seminars & learning events for its members. It is
sometimes necessary to make a charge for these events, but costs
are always kept to a minimum (as safety professionals and
volunteers ourselves we are well aware of the increasing need to
self-fund continual professional development).

The Executive has some interesting ideas on how we can improve
the range of development activities available to our members.
