Training support

We look forward to welcoming you to our training network – we’re here to support you.

Once you’ve been approved as a training provider, we'll offer you continuing support and guidance.

Unlike our competitors, we’ll give you your own named training contact to guide you along the way.
We may need to come along to the first course you deliver to observe your training. Don't worry, we won't be checking up on you, just making sure you get off on the right foot.
We’ll give you constructive feedback on how you've delivered your first course – sharing training best practice with you. Our trainers tell us they really value this.
After you've marked your assessment papers, we'll have a look at them for you so you can be confident you’re meeting a consistent standard.
We'd like to know how the training was for your delegates and you, so please send us your trainer and delegate feedback forms – we really do value these. We use your feedback to develop our courses further.
We quality control your courses to national training standards which gives you reassurance that you meet these standards.

Familiarisation training days at IOSH

The training team at IOSH deliver the familiarisation training days. This is a great opportunity to visit IOSH and meet your own personal training contact. These practical sessions will show you how to:

get the best from the training resources in the Working safely and Managing safely training packages
plan for developing your own courses in terms of training best practice
mark the end of course assessments
complete the training administration forms.

You’ll also get to meet other trainers who are starting out at the same time as you.

Training roadshow

Keep a day in your diary free this September. Every year we invite people who have an interest in training to come along to IOSH’s training roadshow. You’ll get to hear from some of the UK’s best inspirational speakers on how to deliver great training.
